Think of this warm-up exercise as a jog. The purpose is to get your legs warmed up. You want to run forward and focus on kicking your heels up to your butt. You will want to do the heel kicks to a distance equal to half court or about 37 feet for a high school player and 47 feet for a college or professional player.
